Neodymium Doped Gadolinium Orthovanadate (Nd:GdVO4) is a promising material for diode-pumped lasers. Similar to Nd:YVO4 crystals, Nd:GdVO4 crystals also show a low threshold and high absorption coefficient at the pump wavelength, which is attributed to the excellent coordination of neodymium dopants in the lattice. Compared with Nd:YVO4, Nd:GdVO4 has a higher thermal conductivity.
